What is Broker Reciprocity (BR) /IDX?
Broker Reciprocity - Sharing Listings Online also
referred to as "Internet Data Exchange" (IDX) is the
next stage in the evolution of MLS as the primary means
of enhancing cooperation between REALTORS® to facilitate
the purchase and sale of real property. BR gives MLS
Participants the tool they need to display each others'
listings on their own Internet websites. Under BR,
brokers exchange consent to display each others listings
on the Internet.
Why would I want to have IDX?
We believe this
lead generation system will present a great marketing
advantage for all participants. Increasingly, consumers
are looking to the Internet for information about real
estate for sale. Until now, consumers have been forced
to use sites like Realtor.com for the most information,
as the Company and Agent sites have only been able to
display limited information.

Agent sites
will now be able to offer the most complete data on
every active property listing for sale in the MLS
system. Think of the marketing possibilities for your
properties and for yourself! Actively advertise your
website for the consumer’s ease of “one-stop shopping”

existing website? You may already have a
website and if you want to simply incorporate Broker

What is the cost and procedure to create my own
website? While most website designers/developers will want a fee
to create your website with a deposit required, A Home
For Sale Realty offers each agent a
Complimentary Website.
If you choose to have BR/IDX website solutions on it,
there will be additional cost to you since this service
is not included as part of your Complimentary Website. |
